Shumba

Not every king roars. Shumba, the Shona word for lion, shows a male in profile, gazing past the viewer towards something only he can see. His mane fades softly into the white paper like dust settling after a long day on the plains. Calm, proud and timeless, this piece brings stillness to a space: perfect above a bed, desk or reading chair.
